- Singer Michael Pangilinan once said that he’s a total nobody if it wasn’t for his manager Jobert Sucaldito. It was Sucaldito who has helped him to be where he is now.
- It will be recalled that it was also Sucaldito who stood by him during that time when he was mired with intrigues especially when the so-called ‘Harana King’ had gotten a girl pregnant.
- Michael reportedly left the ward of Sucaldito at almost the same time Sucaldito had a fall out with Hashtag member, Nikko Natividad.
- Sucaldito reportedly turned to social media to pour out his emotions on how he was able to raise and manage the careers of Michael and Hashtag member, Nikko Natividad.
It’s sad to hear when celebrity couples split up, much more when the separation is between a talent manager and his talent. For someone who had always looked after his talent and has molded them into who they’ve become as well as make a career path for each one of them, talent manager, radio anchor and columnist, Jobert Sucaldito feels heartbroken each time one of his talents bids him goodbye.
The latest of which was balladeer Michael Pangilinan.
Known as the ‘Harana King,’ Michael Pangilinan reportedly left the ward of his long-time manager, Jobert Sucaldito. According to reports, Michael left Jobert at almost the same time that the manager had a fall off with another talent of his, Hashtag member Nikko Natividad. The gap between Sucaldito and Natividad have been patch up.
Michael was Sucaldito’s ‘prime star.’ They’ve been through a lot and had stand the test of time. What went wrong between these two?
The showbiz industry was witness to how Sucaldito paved the way for Pangilinan’s star potential to shine. He would book him with provincial concerts before for further exposure when he was still not known. And because of his manager’s effort, Michael had gone places. He’s far from the Michael that people had previously known when he was still a newbie. His rise to fame started when he became part of ABS-CBN’s ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar.’
Sucaldito recently announced on his Facebook account that he and Nikko Natividad of Hashtag were able to talk and whatever issue between him has been settled. “He just waited for me to let me know but just want a decent separation,” wrote Sucaldito.
The talent manager said that he treated his stable of talents as his own children. He loved them too much and gave them jobs to help with their respective families.
“Nakatulong naman siguro ako to give a little name for them in this industry na siyang ipinagpapasalamat ko, to everyone and to Almighty God,” wrote Sucaldito on Facebook.
Sucaldito said his talents wanted out of his management. He did not mention exactly who those talents were [although one of them was indeed Nikko], he is grateful that his stress is now off. He has no bad blood for his talents even if they seemed so ‘ungrateful’ for everything he has done for them. In the end, Sucaldito says he still wishes them the best and may they be still successful in their career and future.
As of this time, Micahel hasn’t confirmed nor deny that he’s now officially out of Sucaldito’s management. Michael reportedly also backed out from the musical theatre project he was supposed to do, called “Ang Maynila Sa Kuko Ng Liwanag” with Joel Lamangan as director.
