Angel reacts to rumors.

In a Twitter post, Jones pointed out that underdog stories usually end happily. She expressed her dismay with the misinformed stories being spread.

“Im laughing at all the misinformed people spreading hate and fake stories as if they were there. Thank you for all the PR! Underdog stories always end the best 🤗”

A netizen, then, asked about the rumors of Tony having a boyfriend.

“May pinakalat pa silang mga pictures Tita. Tsaka may nagpost dn ng pics ug boyfriend daw kuno ni @tonythesharky Nakakaloka sila”

Angel only detailed how this is what usually happens to people at the top.

“That’s what happens when you’re at the top. They like to desperately tear you down. Sad but true.”

Alex is not Tony’s boyfriend.

Labrusca’s PR man, Chris Cahilig, revealed that Tony was actually with fellow ABS-CBN star, Alexander Diaz. Since they were together, Alex has been posting his version of what happened in the airport and how Tony is handling it.

“I was also at immigration & saw the whole thing go down. So trust me when I say kudos to you homie for rising above it. @tonythesharky wasn’t the only one at fault but he was made to look like the bad guy when both sides had faults. Proud of you homie. ps bungee jumping was epic”

“Nobody mentioned the fact that while Tony was supposed to be having a private conversation with the Superior I.O 3 I.O’s came into the office and approached me on the couch trying to fish for information as to what was happening. I dont think thats their job.”

“or that the superior i.o repeatedly told them to leave the office.”

“or that i was also met with a not so friendly i.o at immigration leaving the country who saw my canadian passport and said “Oh anong gusto mong gawin ko dito?” in a sarcastic tone until i pulled up my Filipino Passport. Immigration isnt ☀️ and 💐by any stretch of the imagination”

“Everyone is human and capable of mistakes even Tony who got heated and these IO’s who claimed not to know who he was at all but proceeded to blast him on social media right off the bat. Sana we hunt for both sides always before passing judgement, slandering or defaming people.”

Tony apologizes through an official statement.

Labrusca released an official statement about the incident.

“I am deeply sorry for my reaction…”

“I admit I was a bit frustrated and that I asked why I was only given 30 days to stay in the country this time. I was unaware of the policy that because I was not with my mother, I did not qualify for a Balikbayan stamp. It was very upsetting for me. And I’m sorry that I somehow took my frustrations out on the Officer.”

“But never did I ever call anyone stupid, nor an idiot much less brag about being a celebrity… My biggest mistake perhaps was letting my emotions get the better of me and again I’m sorry.”

“I know for a fact that the officer is merely doing her job. My biggest mistake perhaps was letting my emotions get the better of me and again I’m sorry.”

“It was a long flight from Canada and while it is not a perfect excuse, I would like to start this year fresh both in my life and the people I’ve encountered with. Once again, I am deeply sorry for my reaction.—Tony Labrusca.”
