An actor and a comedian, Kempee De Leon is back at ABS CBN with his new TV project. ‘Nang Ngumiti Ang Langit’ is a new daytime series which premiers on March 25, replacing ‘Playhouse’ of Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo that will end on March 22.
This is a comeback project of his in the said network. His last project was in 2002 with ‘Klasmeyts.’ He hosted with the noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga’ of GMA Network back then. In 2016, he has never been seen after his 12 years of hosting in the said program, but still stayed with the network until 2018.
But now he is a certified Kapamilya artist and excited to be working with different Kapamilya artists.
He was asked who among the Kapamilya artists he wished to work with?
“Actually lahat eh, lahat ng mga taga-ABS, gusto kong makatrabaho. Pero siyempre, ako naman hindi namimili. So kung anong ibigay sa akin, thankful ako,” shared Kempee.
Kempee De Leon is the son of Kapuso comedian-host-actor Joey De Leon with veteran actress Daria Ramirez.
Recently, his father’s post on Instagram became trending, sharing that he was once a Kapamilya artist. Kempee shared that his father Joey is giving importance to some of the achievements he got as a Kapamilya artist.
“Kasi naitago niya naman talaga ‘yun, ‘yung certificates na nagtarabaho siya rito, ‘yun ‘yung unang suweldo niya,” confirming his father post.
He even revealed some his father actions.
“Nu’ng giniba na ‘yung isang part ng CR sa ABS-CBN, may mga logo sa tiles na nu’n e, ABS-CBN logo. Itinago niya ‘yung isang tile na pinagbakbakan,” came the revelation from Kempee.
