  • Nick Vujicic, Australian worship band Planetshakers, Lecrae to headline the upcoming Jesus Global Youth Day (JGYD)
  • The youth conference, set for August 8 to 10 at the Mall of Asia Arena
  • The first two days of the three-day event will be divided into a congress and a main session, with a Christian concert capping off each day

Popular evangelist and founder of Life Without Limbs Nick Vujicic, Australian worship band Planetshakers, and American Christian hip hop recording artist, songwriter, record producer and actor Lecrae are among the renowned speakers and performers headlining the upcoming Jesus Global Youth Day (JGYD).

The youth conference, set for August 8 to 10 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila, is the first of its kind to be held in the country. The three-day gathering aims to spur the Gen Z, millennial and Gen X Christians from all over the world to love Christ, live committed, and lead change through the message of the Gospel and the love of Jesus Christ.

The first two days of the three-day event will be divided into a congress and a main session, with a Christian concert capping off each day. Speakers from around the world will share their insights on various topics such as leadership, evangelism and missions, worship, discipleship, and campus ministry through the various plenary sessions.

Pastors can look forward to the Global Pastors Congress on the Next Generation happening on the first day while youth leaders can join the Global Youth Leader Congress on the second day.

Ron Allen Luce, CEO of Generation Next and co-chairman of Jesus Global Youth Day global advisory council, joins the speakers for the Global Pastors Congress on the Next Generation. The congress also features Matts-ola Isoel, senior pastor of the Word of Life megachurch in Moscow, Russia; Opoku-Onyniah, a Ghanaian theologian, minister, televangelist, and chair of the renowned Church of Pentecost in Ghana; Stephen Andrew Baldwin, founder of Breakthrough Ministry, Antioch Ministry and Now More Than Ever Ministry; and Russell Evans, senior pastor of the Planetshakers Church in Melbourne, Australia.

Vujicic, Baldwin, Luce, and Samuel Dhinakaran, said to be one of the most prolific voices to the young generation in India, will be leading the main sessions on the first day.

The congress speakers for the second day include Bryce Manderfield, founder and president of Youth Solutions Inc.,

Tom Crandall, founder of Bethel Young Saints, Luce, and Dhinakaran.

In the evening of the second day, Sadie Robertson, the New York Times best-selling author of “Live Fearless: A Call to Power, Passion, and Purpose” and fictional work “Life Just Got Real: A Live Original Novel,” has been added to the lineup of speakers, which also includes Dr. Paul Enenche, senior pastor and founder of Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, Nigeria who is said to be one of the most exciting preachers and leaders in all of Africa, and Luce.

Arden Bevere, co-founder of Sons and Daughters TV and son of John Bevere, Luce, and Nick Hall, the visionary of Together, author of the book “Reset,” and founder and chief communicator for PULSE, will lead the main sessions on the third day, August 10.

The Planetshakers, together with American Christian musician and guitarist Austin Adamec, will be performing on the first day. Adamec to perform again on the second day will be joined by American music label and worship ministry Bethel Music, alongside internationally known Christian praise and worship band Miel San Marcos. Both performers will again be witnessed on the third day, back-to-back with Lecrae.

JGYD aims to gather leaders and youth mentors around the world to collectively learn and discuss how to effectively reach out and connect with the youth. Amid the evolving challenges they face is the need to encourage them to be catalysts of change for the next generation. Local churches and organizations can take part by sending their pastors, staff, disciple-makers, youth frontrunners and leaders to the different learning sessions, youth engagements, and worship celebrations.

Youth Immersion Mission

Prior to the gathering in August, there will be a week-long mission immersion for volunteer youth groups in the Greater Manila Area. From July 31 to August 7, Christian youth from all around the world will live out their faith by sharing the good news about God and His plans with Filipino youth and children.

Youth Immersion Mission (YMI) volunteers will roll out creative evangelistic programs and innovative service projects for their host churches and surrounding community. Churches and organizations in the Greater Manila Area may host international youth groups and organize for them a one-week local immersion program. Those that will register as Youth Mission Immersion Host must meet requirements.

Churches outside Metro Manila and elsewhere in the world may design and host their own Youth Conference in their locality from August 8 through 10. Interested parties will be provided with sample programs and activities and JGYD materials such as event logos and brochures.

Tickets are sold per event per day and are priced as follows: PHP2,500 for SVIP inclusive of a meet-and-greet pass, PHP1,500 for VIP and Patron, PHP1,500 for Lowerbox, PHP1,000 for Upperbox and PHP400 for GenAd.
