Dragon Lady will soon end on July 20, 2019. The series which stars Janine Gutierez in the titular role, premiered on March 4, 2019, on GMA Network’s Afternoon Prime and Sabado Star Power sa Hapon line up replacing Asawa Ko, Karibal Ko. The series will conclude with a total of 117 episodes.
The series tells the story of Celestina who possesses a mysterious dragon statue that will bring luck and misfortune into her life, and she will have a dragon-like look. She eventually meets Michael, an adventurous and mysterious Filipino-Chinese bachelor.
According to AGB Nielsen Philippines’ Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement, the pilot episode of Dragon Lady earned a 5.5% rating while the series got its highest rating on May 3, 2019, with a 7.5% rating.
The series goes hand-in-hand with the noontime show Eat Bulaga on beating their rival It’s Showtime. Sadly, the series oftentimes suffered a defeat.
However, last week, the series’ ratings boosted up according to NUTAM People’s Ratings. On July 1, Monday the series got a high rating of 6.2% defeating It’s Showtime‘s score of 5.7%. On July 2, Tuesday Dragon Lady got a slightly higher rating of 6.0% against It’s Showtime 5.9%.

With the story now nearing its end, Almira and Scarlet are playing decoy with Vera and Astrid. They planned on making them think that Philippa is their ally. Scarlet proved to Vera and Astrid that she has a beautiful heart and body compared to their rotten personalities. After Vera and Astrid faced this humiliation, Scarlet has now earned her spotlight after she was introduced by Philippa as the only heiress of Chua family.
Dragon Lady will soon be replaced by Hanggang sa Dulo ng Buhay Ko, a drama horror series which will star Megan Young, Kris Bernal, Rayver Cruz, and Kim Domingo. It will premiere on July 22, Monday.
Originally titled as The Haunted Wife, the series will bring chills and suspense for viewers in the afternoon. The production team reportedly consulted a paranormal expert during their preparation for the show.
