Starla‘ closed its pilot week with 13.8% while ‘The Gift‘ returned to single digit ratings at 9.1% last Friday (October 11.).

The story of ‘Starla‘ revolves around Buboy (Enzo Pelojero), a stowaway orphan, ends up in barren Baryo Maulap and witnesses what many call as “the dance of the fireflies”. Said to bring luck wherever they land, Buboy takes one firefly out of curiosity and traps it in a bottle. His catch, however, turns out to be one of the millions of playful wishing stars from the sky.

Now stuck on Earth, Starla (Jana Agoncillo) has to find a way to go back to Star World where she truly belongs. To do this, she and Buboy take on a mission to grant people’s wishes, one of these being Mang Greggy’s (Joel Torre).

Despite his reputation as a selfish and indignant town scrooge, one of the desires of Mang Greggy’s heart is to be reunited and reconciled with his estranged daughter, Teresa (Judy Ann Santos), a ruthless lawyer whose only goal in life is to be on top. Teresa is set to come back to her despised hometown, Baryo Maulap, only for one thing — revenge.

As fate leads Buboy and Starla to Mang Greggy, everything eventually falls into place, including the renewed prosperity of Baryo Maulap. They also aim to rebuild and reconnect Mang Greggy and Teresa’s relationship in the process. Starla is a story about renewed hope, the warmth of home, love for the family, and forgiveness.

Here are the NUTAM People Ratings from October 7 to October 11:
