MANILA — The adobo Festival of Ideas will be happening this coming December 5, 2019 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila, with “The Connectivity Economy”, as this year’s festival theme.
We’ll be taking a look at how the modern economy is fueled by collaboration over competition, how unexpected connections are leading to an endless array of possibilities, and the role creative and innovative thinking plays in achieving business and sustainability goals.
We’re bringing in renowned leaders from across the globe coming from different sectors and backgrounds to help us explore the worlds created when industries and sectors intersect, converge, and collaborate and how the cyclic relationships between these sectors would shape the future of the world and transform it.
For about 18 years, Rachel Renucci worked abroad as an investment banker. But after seeing the onslaught that Yolanda brought to Leyte, she decided to come home to the Philippines, towing along her husband Patrick to build a state-of-the-art milling facility that would help provide farmers in Leyte a better livelihood.
Despite being a founder of one of the largest printing companies in Paris, Patrick Renucci left his business behind to find a way to live a new life in the Philippines while helping others. Now he runs a post-harvest facility in
Leyte together with his wife Rachel to help out farmers affected by Typhoon Yolanda.
