Two years after her last series, Kim Chiu is back with Love Thy Woman.
The upcoming teleserye will premiere in the afternoon block of ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Gold, replacing Kadenang Ginto.
But isn’t it unusual that Primetime Princess Kim will now be seen in the afternoon block?
At the grand press conference of Love Thy Woman, the 29-year-old stunner was asked about her views on her new afternoon series.
“Siguro sa panahon ngayon, wala na yung panggabi, pang-umaga, pangtanghali, panghapon. Kasi meron na ring iWanTV, and then may internet na.”
Kim also believes that being a good actress is not defined by what time slot her show is in.
“Hindi naman sukatan ng pagiging artista mo kung saan ka ilagay, e,” Kim said. “Same energy, same effort, parehas lang yun kung saan ka ilagay, umaga, tanghali—kahit sa madaling araw ka pa ilagay—parehas na acting pa rin yung ibibigay ko.”
In this series, Kim plays a mistress in which she admitted that she finds it difficult.
“Medyo mahirap siya, kasi ang madalas kong ginagawa, for 13 years sa teleserye, parang laging ikaw yung ganun. Ngayon palaban, ngayon iba, kaya inaral ko talaga scene per scene.”
The actress believes that she wouldn’t have been given this big project if there was no trust in her as an actress.
“Hindi ka naman ilalagay dun kung hindi ka nila pinagkakatiwalaan,” she said.
Love Thy Woman, is the comeback series of Kim after her last series Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin last 2017.
Apparently, Ikaw Lang Ang Iibigin was also aired on daytime block which she worked with her ex-boyfriend and former love team Gerald Anderson.
Now, Kim Chui will be working with her reel-and-real love, Xian Lim, in which fans are more excited and still hopes that the series will premier on the primetime slot.
Love Thy Woman’s powerhouse cast also allured the viewers’ excitement of what the show has. Starred by Christopher de Leon, Eula Valdez, Zsa Zsa Padilla, Ruffa Gutierrez, Sunshine Cruz, at Yam Concepcion, which will make the series a much-awaited one.
