Marcelito Pomoy got a standing ovation from the judges of American Got Talent: The Champions edition when he sang “The Prayer” that led him to advance to the semi-finals.
In fact, one of the judges, Simon Cowell praised him after his performance that he is part of the competition to win.
Cowell told Marcelito, “That was what I call a 10, as simple as that. I have a feeling that the super fans will put you through to the next round.”
Howie Mandel said, “That was so unique, you are a beautiful, wonderful singer with a young woman trap inside of you.”
Meanwhile, Judge Alesha Dixon said, “I want to see something different, something unique, and Marcelito you just gave that to us. It was absolutely brilliant.”
Judge Heidi Klum confessed that his performance was one of the craziest things she ever heard. “Honestly, this is one of the craziest things I ever heard in my entire life. Your voice, your range, your sound is just so out of this world.”
