It’s been more than a month since Jerald Napoles transferred from Triple A to Viva Artists Agency, and he admitted during an interview with Allan Diones that he misses the Sunday PinaSaya barkada.
Among the cast of Sunday Pinasaya, Alden Richards, Pekto, and Ruru Madrid are some of his closest friends that he’d like to see again.
“Nakaka-miss ‘yung barkada, lahat sila lalo na ‘yung boys. Si Alden, pinuntahan ko nga sa shoot niya sa bagong endorsement. Si Pekto, Alden, Ruru, actually ka-dressing room ko.”
Jerald happily announced that out of 34 movies of Viva, the production firm provided him three projects for this year. He will be part of Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam, Pak-Boys with Andrew E and Dennis Padilla, and Janno Gibbs’ Mang Jose.
Jerald shared: “Tatlo, ‘yung Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam day 5 na kami. Tapos ‘yung Pak Boys kahapon first day namin, ‘yung isa pa sidekick ako ni Kuya Janno, Mang Jose.”
Meanwhile, Jerald feels proud to be part of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, and he feels lucky that Coco Martin called him for the second time around.
According to Jerald, as soon as Coco knew he transferred to Viva, the Kapamilya action star called him immediately. His first appearance on Probinsyano was last December 23, 2019, a day after Sunday PinaSaya’s final episode.
“Natutuwa ako kasi kontrabida ako e, tapos kasuntukan ko si Coco Martin, proud! Wala lang nakaka-importante lang. Tumawag ulit! Paps, okay ka ba, puwede ka na ba kasi alam ko wala na ‘yung Sunday show mo, nasa Viva ka na so game? Sakto last airing ko sa Sunday Pinasaya December 22, ang unang airing ko sa Probinsyano 23, ang galing no sakto! Transitioning ayos, iba din!”

Jerald Napoles and Alden Richards have been friends for years now, and even if they are currently working for different networks, they still find time to catch up. For Alden’s first solo concert three years ago titled #AldenUpsurge concert, the Pambansang Bae included Jerald as one of the guest singers.
Jerald described his friendship with Alden as genuine with no ‘artista factor’
“Nung una kaming nagkita ni Alden, wala kaagad yung artista factor. May camarediere agad. Alam naman ng lahat na mabait yan eh, si Alden ay isa sa mga artistang nakita ko na kabisado ang pangalan ng lahat ng staff. Ako may mga staff ako na hindi kilala eh. Well, siguro dahil nauna siya sa industriya pero for him na kahit sumikat siya, kilala pa rin niya. I think malaking bagay ‘yun.”
In fact, in the recent Instagram photo of Jerald with Alden, he proved that he’s a loyal friend to the Pambansang Bae. Jerald fired back at a netizen demanding him to confront Alden to stay away with gays as it’s contagious.

Jerald defended Alden: “Hindi nakakahawa ang kabaklaan. Nakakahawa ang hindi malawak na pagtanggap sa pagkatao ng isang indibidwal. Ang pakikipagkaibigan ay magandang ugali, bakit kailangan limitahan.”
