Veteran columnist Ricky Lo considered the intimate advice of Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez for Mr. & Mrs. Matteo Guidicelli as insensitive, uncalled for, and offensive.
On his Instagram account, Lo slammed Regine for thinking she was being funny and witty, especially during this challenging time for Sarah who clashed with her mom Divine Geronimo over her surprise wedding.
Lo started to slam Regine with: “To Sarah, please don’t follow Regine’s advice (if indeed she gave it). She thinks she’s being funny and witty when in fact she’s being offensive and insensitive, and uncalled for, especially at this time when Sarah is trying to sort things out with her mom.”
Moreover, Lo sarcastically asked if Regine’s friends were not advising the Asia’s Songbird on how social media behavior works, as Regine kept on mentioning ‘having sex’ comment during press conferences.
He continued: “If it’s a private ‘joke’, she should have kept it between her and Sarah. She has been making that ‘having sex’ comment during presscons at akala niya ‘cute’ siyang pakinggan. Hindi po!!! And here she comes again!!! Don’t people close to her ever remind her about proper social-media behavior?”
Speaking of proper “social media behavior” Ricky Lo was the first one to publish that Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli were getting married on the day the couple planned to have a ‘secret’ wedding.
Here’s a part of Lo’s article in Philstar: BREAKING NEWS: A highly-reliable source told The STAR that Sarah Geronimo and Matteo Guidicelli are getting married anytime today. The wedding is so hush-hush that, according to the source, Matteo’s family “will be present.” It’s not sure if Sarah’s parents, Divine and Delfin, are attending. If indeed Sarah and Matteo are getting married today, The STAR could only wish them “Good Luck” and “Best Wishes,” and, as the Chinese would say, “100 years of blissful togetherness.”
While, here is the part of Regine’s advice for Sarah and Matteo which is meant to be as a joke, since they are really close with each other.
“Mag-sex lang sila nang mag-sex siguro… In a Christian way, kasama yun! But no, communication talaga is very important. Kasi alam nyo, magte-10 years na kami ng asawa ko and it doesn’t feel na ten years ko na siyang kasama. It doesn’t feel that way because he makes life so exciting for me. And since he does that, I also try to do the same. Kaka-text lang niya ng ‘Hi miss, kailan uwi mo?’ Ako naman, ‘Sir, matagal pa sir, traffic pa sir.’ Yung little things like that will add color to your relationship.”
