A clearly distraught Angel Locsin almost broke down in tears in a Teledradyo interview as she spoke about the allegations leveled at her and her sister, Ella Colmenares, by Lt . Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr.
The actress said that being red-tagged by the Lt. Gen. greatly affects her intention to help in the aftermath of Bagyong Rolly since they need to go outside to give help to others,
Locsin criticized the office of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) on why do they need to bring up the topic through social media instead of using their platform to take up relevant issues,
“Mayroon tayong tamang venue for that . . .
In a statement released on the Facebook page of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC), Parlade “warned” actress Liza Soberano against supporting Gabriela’s women’s rights groups, lest she die like Josephine “Jo” Lapira, an activist.
Without basis, he went on to say that the sister of Angel Locsin, Ella, was part of the NPA, and that this was something that Angel and her nephew, human rights lawyer Neri Colmenares, knew about.
“The choice is yours Liza. And so with you Catriona,” referring to Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
“Don’t follow the path Ka Ella Colmenares (Locsin) took in the underground and NPA Quezon. I am sure Angel Locsin and Neri Colmenares will not tell you this.”
Angel thanked her loyal fans for the continuos support especially in the face of the red-tagging.
“Maraming salamat sa lahat ng hindi naniniwala. Hindi marahas na nagbibintang. Thank you so much. Wala akong masamang hangarin, hidden agenda.
