The rom-com series of GMA Network ‘Owe My Love’ had its first airing last February 15, 2021.
The series is directed by Rember Gelera and Ray Gibraltar, top bill Lovi Poe and Benjamin Alves.
However, its premiere episode also featured the comeback of the comedian, Mahal.
Mahal, who will be a regular cast, was given more exposure and dressed in fancy clothes as she portrays the role of Mini Divi, the personal assistant of the nemesis Divina Advincula, played by Jackie Lou Blanco.
The special treatment for Mahal was also noticed. Considering that her lines are slightly incomprehensible, the production provided subtitles for her lines in the said series.
‘Owe My Love’ will also feature celebrities including comedy queen Aiai Delas Alas, Leo Martinez, Ruby Rodriguez, Kiray Celis, Buboy Villar, Nova Villa, and Ryan Eigenmann.
Last November, ‘Owe My Love’ became controversial after Mystica’s complaints on social media.
She ranted about the alleged maltreatment she experienced during their lock-in taping in a resort in Bulacan. Mystica also complained about sharing a room with Kiray, whom she labeled as loud and noisy.
However, these allegations were turned down by the production. She was eventually removed from the casts and was replaced by Jervy “Patani” Daño.
Nevertheless, ‘Owe My Love’ still aired some of Mystica’s scenes during the second episode of the series.
