David Licauco is known to be mum about political issues, but recently, the hushed actor began throwing shade at the government.
The actor recently reacted to the sharp climb of COVID-19 cases and reimposition of Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) in the NCR plus bubble.

He retweeted:
The ECQ I need is some enhanced competence and qualifications for government officials.

Also, in his now-deleted tweet, David greeted Duterte, “Hbd po,” with a smiling face with cold sweat emoji.
He then posted a photo of a cake with a dedication, “Here’s your f*cking cake you little sh*t.” Though he did not name anyone, the sarcasm is palpable so netizens assume that he is targeting Duterte.

President Duterte celebrated his 76th birthday last Sunday. However, he earned flak for pretending that he had a ‘simple’ celebration where in fact, behind those prior photos which circulated, a buffet is being served.
Despite David’s show of disapproval to the administration, he is being tagged as a DDS.
A netizen even criticized him for his Chinese roots which he replied with a touch of sarcasm.
Cute mo hihi

He eventually disaffirmed the claims that he is a solid Duterte supporter.
Im not a DDS. Pero go unfollow me lang hehe
