ABS-CBN’s chief operating officer for broadcast Cory Vidanes messaged Kim Chiu after the host’s ‘corny’ knock-knock joke.
On Monday, during the Tawag ng Tanghalan segment of It’s Showtime, Vice Ganda and Vhong Navarro gave Chiu a chance to crack a ‘knock-knock’ joke.
She proceeded with her ‘knock-knock’ joke about “Yang-yang”–the daily contender’s name.
The joke turned out to be corny so, Vice ad Vhong ignored her after.
In the latter part of the segment, when Vice opened up about her corny joke, Kim revealed that Cory messaged her after that.
Vice then prompted Kim to reveal Cory’s message: “At ang text sa’yo ni Tita Cory ay?”
“Waley”, Kim revealed and made the hosts laughing.
“Sabi ko naman kay Tita Cory, ‘Tita Cory pasensya na po, babawi po ako’,” Kim added.
She officially became a regular host of the noontime show in September last year.
She is a good addition to the show as she can easily jive in with the other hosts, especially Vice Ganda.
Since she became part of the show, her co-hosts teased her many times, however, the ‘Chinita Princess’ never got offended and remained ‘game’ for every challenge. With this, Vice admitted previously that he admires Kim for such attitude.
