ABS-CBN employees and supporters were disappointed over a former Kapamilya big star who made a jump to a new chapter of her life when switched to GMA Network.
GMA Network on Friday, June 25, already announced that this blockbuster actress already joined the Kapuso roster of talents.
Days after her transfer, Vaugn Hautea, the Advertising and Promo Head of ABS-CBN, tweeted that he never left the side of his family during trying times.
Basta ako, sa panahong nagkasakit ang tatay ko, na-ospital ang nanay ko, nangailangan ang mga kapatid ko, hindi ako umalis sa tabi ng mga kapamilya ko.

ABS-CBN Films Advertising and Promotions Head, Mico del Rosario even tweeted, “Galingan na lang.”
galingan nalang.

But Kapamilya director Erick Salud had something to say to the actress who made the transfer.
On his Twitter account, he said, “So ayun nga. Lumipat nga ang isang aktres. Bakit kaya? Eh may project si na nasimulan at napromote na prior pandemic. Tapos say niya, ‘di pa siya ready magshooting. Ayun pala lilipat. AAAARTE!!! Naghihirap ba siya? Eh may big farm nga. Kaloka siya!!!”
Scriptwriter Noreen Capili concluded that the actress wanted to reunite with her former onscreen partner, who recently became a Kapuso, too.
Baka gusto maka tambal ulit yung dating ka loveteam, Direk!

Although they did not mention a specific name, GMA Network, on Thursday, July 1, welcomed Bea Alonzo to the ward.
She will star along with Alden Richards in an upcoming Kapuso movie. Her former onscreen partner, John Lloyd Cruz, is also with the Network under Willie Revillame’s production firm, WBR.
Meanwhile, ABS-CBN Films creative director Vanessa Valdez was severely affected by the actress’s transfer.
An Instagram story shared by a netizen revealed the lines that both writers, Valdez and Carmi Raymundo wrote for the movie, One More Chance, left a different meaning [to them] now.
The lines were as follows: “She loved me at my worst. You had me at my best. At binalewala mo lang lahat yun.”
For them, ABS-CBN should have been the choice; however, they weren’t.

Netizens and supporters were also mad toward the actress as she already had a teleserye with ABS-CBN even before the shutdown happened.

D ako galit ky B..sino ba nman ako pra magalit. Haha more on disappointed..to think na may ts sya bfor the shutdown. Naipresent pa yun sa trade launch. Then pandemic came, and shutdown happened. I was expecting na isa sya na tutulong sa kompanya pra mkabangon kahit papano. https://t.co/zUsctqH0uY

Another netizen felt that the actress gave false hopes in staying with ABS-CBN.
Nakakainis ang mga ganito ang daming dahilan yun pala aalis. Pinaasa ka pero nagne-negotiate na pala sa ibang kumpanya. Insurance kung di nag prosper sa kabila, may fallback. (Relate much as a people leader.) https://t.co/bNycZB4VhC

Kapamilya writer Gerrome Esguerra described the grand welcoming of Alonzo as a four-part setup.

But for France Sajorda, a twitter personality, and a loyal Kapamilya, it was a chance for him to mock how GMA Network welcomed a “queen.”
That's how they welcome a QUEEN? Ganun lang?
Sabi naman e. Zipline from ELJ to Kamuning sana.#KapamilyaForever

ABS-CBN executive Ethel Espiritu considered Alonzo’s transfer as “inconsiderate,” even called her an “ingrate.”
The Kapamilya executive also pointed that the actress has an “unfinished business” with ABS-CBN. She was offered a project and yet she rejected it.
The actress was supposed to do a TV series with ABS-CBN back in 2020. However, for some reason, she backed out. As a result, the teleserye was scrapped.
Iba-iba kasi ang kuwento ng mga lumilipat. Yung iba maiintindihan mo talaga. Pero kung ikaw, me iniwang “unfinished business” inofferen ka pa BUT you still chose otherwise, turnoff talaga. Unless me very valid reason siya. BUT, otherwise? INCONSIDERATE. Sabi ng iba? INGRATO.

Staying with ABS-CBN through thick and thin was not because it was a dream, but because of love. That is how a Kapamilya employee, screenwriter Hyro Aguinaldo chose to stay with the Network.
Sometimes it feels like an utter abandon to my own growth and sanity. But it makes total sense when I start to see within me what truly mattered all this time: love. I stay and hold on not because Star Cinema was a dream, but because I love.

Now with GMA Network, Alonzo will be doing a primetime show as her first major project.
“Meron na ‘kong teleserye na gagawin pero hahayaan ko na lang ang GMA mag-disclose kung ano ‘yon because I think hindi ko pa siya puwede sabihin,” the actress told GMANetwork.com.
