ABS-CBN continues its digital expansion with more subscribers across multiple platforms. ABS-CBN News, its main news channel on YouTube, recently hit a new milestone as its subscribers grew to 13 million.

ABS-CBN News is the eighth most subscribed YouTube channel in the country. After hitting 10 million subscribers in August last year, three million more accounts have subscribed to the channel–making it among the most followed news channels on the platform.
The YouTube channel previously breached the 12-million mark in March of this year. ABS-CBN Entertainment, the media entity’s main entertainment account, has nearly 37-million subscribers–making it the most subscribed YouTube channel in Southeast Asia.

ABS-CBN News continues to grow across many platforms, albeit its limited presence on national television. Only the Kapamilya Channel, Teleradyo, and ANC are all pay-TV channels that air ABS-CBN news programs on TV.
In its efforts to reach more audiences, ABS-CBN had taken several measures to expand digitally. It has strengthened its presence online by tapping certain channels to deliver the news. On Spotify, for example, ABS-CBN News recently launched a daily podcast that rounds up the most important news of the day. The company also continues to develop its radio service app to bring Teleradyo and TV Patrol to many parts of the world.Â
TV Patrol is now seen across the globe on YouTube.Â
Now the most-watched news program on the said platform, the nightly newscast is now anchored by three of ABS-CBN’s award-winning journalists: Henry Omaga-Diaz, Bernadette Sembrano, and the returning Karen Davila, who took Noli de Castro’s place following his decision to pursue a Senate seat.
On Facebook, ABS-CBN News is number one among news outlets in the country. With nearly 23 million followers, ABS-CBN bested out GMA Network, whose GMA News page has less than 20 million followers. TV Patrol, on the other hand, has 8.8 million followers on its official page, making it the most-subscribed official page of a local newscast on the platform.
ABS-CBN News is poised to grow further in the future as ABS-CBN continues its campaign to conquer the digital space. Aside from TV Patrol, other ABS-CBN News programs are also made available via Kapamilya Online Live which globally streams old and current Kapamilya shows 24/7/.
