Kapamilya actress Francine Diaz and Dr. Alvin Matulac, the CEO and founder of Dr. Alvin Skin Care explained on October 18 the reasons why skincare must be started at an early age of 12 years old.
According to Dr. Matulac, the skin must be maintained at an early age to avoid damaging it to the point that it may be irreparable.
“We have to start at an early age as early as 12, dapat mine-maintain na nating ang skin natin. Kasi once na we have scars, lalo na yung mga ice pick scars or mga malalalim na scars, it’s really hard to remove it, you need laser. Kung minsan hindi s’ya matatanggal, so as early as 12, dapat mine-maintain na ang skin,” he said during the media launch for their newest endorser for their rejuvenating set.
He also added that having well-maintained skin could also boost the self-esteem of an individual, especially during this pandemic.
“At tsaka nakaka-boost sa ‘tin yan once we take care of our skins. Makikita natin nag-go-glow ang skin natin.”
Meanwhile, Diaz, who is their latest endorser, admitted that she started to take care of her skin very late. She then encouraged the public to start taking care of their skin.
“So nung medyo nagdadalaga na ako, doon ko lang na-realize na importante na alagaan ang skin habang bata ka pa.
“Kasi nga sabi ni Doc Alvin na kapag may mga scar, mahirap na tanggalin, and yung mga mark ng pimple, hindi na s’ya nawawala eh. So sana hangga’t maaari, hangga’t maaga, alagaan natin ang skin natin,” she encouraged.
In the press con, Dr. Matulac also explained why they chose a 17-year-old Diaz to represent their rejuvenating set and pointed that she is the best person to represent their slogan, “Gandang Angat, Gandang Dr. Alvin.”
The young Kapamilya star was the ‘perfect face’ for the brand. Out of all the candidates, Diaz stood out, according to Dr. Matulac.
“Knowing Francine, she’s really a perfect face for our brand. She’s a simple, beautiful, confident, vibrant and at the same time the brand, the rejuvenating, actually ‘pag sinabing rejuvenating, yung youth, ilalabas natin, and that’s Francine talaga.”
Moreover, Dr. Matulac noted that Diaz is not just a pretty face as she has an attitude that suits well with their brand.
“…ang pinaka-hinahanap namin sa isang endorser is may good attitude. ‘Yan si Francine talaga, maipagmamalaki ko ‘yan. She’s very humble, she’s very polite.”
Diaz is the ambassador of Dr. Alvin’s Rejuvenating Set, a world-class and the first FDA-approved skincare product in the Philippine market.
