At the virtual fan meeting hosted by Mega Sardines on October 21, Primetime Superstar Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo shared how she gets to convince her children to eat unusual food such as sardines and some vegetables.
One of her secrets is that she involves her children in cooking.
“I involve my children when it comes to cooking. Sinasama ko sila sa pagluluto, ini-involve ko sila, so ini-introduce ko sa kanila bawat ingredients. Especially kapag halimbawang bago sa panlasa nila, gusto ko matikman muna nila as it is bago ko siya gawin,” she explained.
According to her, one must be creative to make every meal appetizing to ensure that everyone in the family enjoys it.
“Magiging creative ka lang naman. You just have to listen to what your kids want, and they also have to listen in return, ‘na ito ‘yung ibibigay na sustansya n’yan sa ‘yo.’”
She and her husband Ryan Agoncillo try to introduce well-loved food by the Filipino community to their children.
“It’s not all the time that we have money to buy things or food na medyo above average ang presyo, so ini-introduce namin sila sa makatotohanang pagkain. I mean, ‘ito talaga [sardines] ‘yung realistic na pagkain sa household ng bawat Pilipino,” the award-winning actress added.
