The cast and director of the upcoming movie Kun Maupay Man it Panahon on Tuesday, December 21, have witnessed Daniel Padilla’s curious mind during the making of the film.
Director Carlo Francis Manatad, said he could not keep up with the actor’s curiosity.
“Nung nag-start na kaming mag-usap about the project, parang as in he was into it to the point na ang daming questions. May mga questions nga ‘yan even on set na hindi ko na rin masagot.”
On a positive note, the director pointed that such a trait of the actor was very helpful to the people he work with.
“I do feel parang yung curiosity niya ay nage-evolve lang in such a way na it helps the project. Hindi lang actually the project, it extends to the people he’s working with.”
Actress Charo Santos-Concio who followed the actor’s growth over the years seconded Manatad’s observation of Padilla noting that it is really in his blood to act.
“Bata palang ‘to kilala ko na eh. Ang pagkakakilala ko kay DJ, nasa dugo na niya talaga ang pag-aartista. Nakalatay sa kanyang dugo ang gift of acting. Nakita ko na ‘yan at nakita ko ang evolution niya as a performer, as an actor. Na hindi ko nakitang naglaro,” shared Santos.
Furthermore, the actress believed that Padilla would go places given his curious mind.
“Yung appreciation niya about the world, he wants to see a broader perspective of humanity. Nakakatuwa. At alam kong lahat nang interes niya sa buhay, interes sa humankind, iyan ang magdadala pa sa kanya ng galing, lalong mas magdadala sa kanya ng galing as he matures in his profession.”
Newbie Rans Rifol, on the other hand, said that Padilla did not change since the day she met him. Apart from his personality, the young artist noted that the actor was [really] a giving co-star.
“Mapagbigay din na aktor. S’yempre kinakabahan talaga ako. Kapag kinakabahan ako sinasabi niya, ‘okay lang iyan malalagpasan mo rin ‘yan,’ yung mga ganoon.
“So first impression ko sa kanya parang ganoon rin naman hanggang ngayon. Hindi naman po talaga siya nagbabago. Totoong tao.”
