Starting from doing sexy roles, Viva star Sean De Guzman is now able to lead his own action movie, Tuesday, December 29.
In the virtual media conference of his upcoming sexy-action film Hugas, De Guzman admitted he was surprised to be given the opportunity.
“Sobrang nakakatuwa po dahil hindi ko inaasahan na magagawa ko ang mga ganitong pelikula,” he admitted.
The young artist expressed his thanks to the bosses of Vivamax for opening the doors of him being able to be an action star.
“Sobrang thankful ako sa mga producers sa Vivamax, at sa mga bosses po natin na binibigyan ako ng mga ganitong project.”
Despite having his career branch out not just in doing sexy roles, De Guzman said he is still open to doing projects that boosted his career.
Also, De Guzman wants to explore all the genres and not just focus on either action or sexy.
“Hindi lang naman action ang gusto kong tahakin. Kahit na ano pong genre: drama, action, psycho, lahat ng p’wedeng maging role sa pagiging aktor po, gusto kong madaanan kumbaga,” he explained.
The young talent had his huge break when in 2020, he bagged the titular role in Joel Lamangan’s Anak ng Macho Dancer. He then went on to do several sexy films before getting the action flick Hugas.
In the film, De Guzman is paired with fellow Viva star AJ Raval who worked in Taya and Nerisa. It also includes seasoned actors Joko Diaz and Jay Manalo and the new generation of artists Cara Gonzales, Stephanie Raz, and Bob Jbeili.
Hugas is slated for release via Vivamax on January 14, 2022, and is under the direction of Roman Perez Jr.
