Genre: Drama, Thriller

Premise: A young policeman is transported back in time, to confront his father whom he despises for leaving him in shame.

Running Time: 25 minutes

Director: Andoy Ranay

Watch it on: iWantTFC

Why You Should See It:

The third season of iWantTFC’s Web drama-anthology, Click, Like, Share‘s third installment follows a story about healing and forgiveness. Kapamilya star JC Alcantara had the chance to prove his acting chops as a dramatic actor, and to his credit, he succeeded.

In the Repair episode, it is easy to see the young actor’s commitment to his role because he can completely articulate his frustrations and pain, even though the episode runs for only 25 minutes.

Repair tells the story of a young cop, James (JC Alcantara), who has to live with the shame left by his father. Growing up, James learned that his life was tough and that he had to take a different path from that of his father to succeed.

When he was still a kid, James’s father (Alan Paule) got shot and died after a hostage and murder of a woman.

As he grew up, he struggled to navigate his life; while with the shame left by his father’s crime.

He decided to become a policeman can apprehend people like his father. One day, after he stumbled upon a news item about his father online, James was brought back in time, when his father was still alive. Confused, he learned new things about his father, and he was able to see some of what he believed about his father–getting disproved.

The main takeaway from ‘Repair’ seems to see beyond our guilt, disgust, and disapproval of someone to enable us to find the truth. It’s a reminder to delve deeper into people’s personalities and understand them for the actions they commit in life. That’s the chance handed to James when he got suddenly transported to the past. Will he be able to use it to correct his mistakes? That’s the question this episode tried to answer.
