On May 23, actress Lovi Poe attested how ABS-CBN made her feel at home as a new Kapamilya.
During the media conference for the poster reveal of Flower of Evil, Poe expressed her appreciation for the efforts of the Kapamilya Network.
“Transition is always tough–but you know what, everyone here sa set is sobrang, they made me feel you know naramdaman ko talaga ‘yung effort nila to make me feel at home.”
She also recalled feeling nervous working on the set of an ABS-CBN series at first.
“Because it’s like yeah everything’s new, everyone’s new, naramdaman siguro nila ‘yung medyo nahihiya ako and I feel like so afraid like they’re all looking at me right now. But everytime, nararamdaman ko talaga ‘yung effort nila to make feel better.”
She added that the Kapamilya staff and crew helped her feel better, which made her step out of her shell.
“And as time went by, wala, I’m suddenly myself. One more, I woke up and I’m myself with everybody and because I’m surrounded by people who want to see me do good and do well. And I’m just grateful for that.”
In September 2021, Poe officially transferred to the Kapamilya to the Kapamilya Network after years with the Kapuso network since 2006. Before moving to ABS-CBN, she worked on teleseryes such as La Lola (2009), Captain Barbel (2011), Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real (2014), Mulawin vs Ravena (2017), Beautiful Justice (2019), and Owe My Love (2021).
Now, Poe stars with Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual in the upcoming Pinoy adaptation of the Korean series Flower of Evil.
Joining them are other Kapamilyas such as JC de Vera, Agot Isidro, Denise Laurel, Joem Bascon, Epy Quizon, Rita Avila, Jett Pangan, Pinky Amador, Joross Gamboa, Joko Diaz, and Edu Manzano.
