Singer Darren Espanto on Friday, July 15 did not give in to the press wanting to know who was the mysterious girl that broke his heart.
Previously, the 21-year-old singer admitted in an interview that he had relationships in the past that didn’t work out. Furthermore, he got linked with Jayda Avanzado and Cassie Legaspi.
In the press conference for his first-ever musical series Lyric and Beat, Espanto was once again asked to reveal the identity of his ex-girlfriend. Dodging the question, he responded, “Lahat sila tapos na.”
Meanwhile, Legaspi was included in the interview, whether he is still friends with Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi’s daughter.
Espanto then replied, “Oh, definitely po. She’s definitely one of my go-tos din aside from AC Bonifacio. I’m grateful to have a friend like Cassie.”
But if there is a chance he will pursue the Kapuso young star, he might have hinted that there may be a possibility.
“Hindi naman, hindi naman masasagot ngayon.”
Meanwhile, Espanto was also asked to shed some light on yet another talent of GMA Network, Kyline Alcantara. It can be recalled that she experienced trauma after her ex-boyfriend cheated on her.
The singer, confidently explained that it was not him who broke Alcantara’s heart.
“I wouldn’t say it’s me. Kasi I’ve known some of her past partners. We’re still friends up until now,” clarified Espanto.
“Siyempre may taon din na hindi kami nag-usap. But it doesn’t mean na parang nagkaroon ng something na super traumatic for her.”
He is currently happy being single and busy with his series Lyric and Beat. The Kapamilya singer is paired, for the first time, with the performer and his best friend, AC Bonifacio.
The show also stars Andrea Brillantes, Seth Fedelin, Kyle Echarri, Nyoy Volante, Agot Isidro, Joanna Ampil, Sheena Belarmino, Angela Ken, and Jeremy Glinoga.
Lyric and Beat is helmed by Dolly Dulu and will premiere on iWantTFC in August.
