On Thursday, August 11, Ruru Madrid was not worried that the Kapamilya series Darna would be airing next week.
The Kapamilya show will replace FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano on August 15 and go toe-to-toe with Madrid’s Lolong.
During the virtual media conference for the series, the actor said in front of select press members, including LionhearTV, that their goal in producing Lolong was to entertain.
Creating a series amid the pandemic was a challenge, he said. Apart from ensuring that the show is of quality, the production must ensure that everyone in the locked-in taping was safe from Covid-19.
It was so hard.”
Furthermore, he believed that production companies share the same goal—to entertain. The actor was proud to say that Lolong is a show that could make Filipinos proud.
Lolong is currently the second-most viewed TV program in the Phillippines, next to GMA Network’s public affairs program 24 Oras.
