On August 18, Viva artists Ava Mendez and Janelle Tee talked about their girl-to-girl intimate scene in the Vivamax movie The Escort Wife.
At the media conference for The Escort Wife with the press, including LionhearTV, Mendez said she felt used to doing girl-to-girl scenes with her Viva projects.
“Nandoon naman po si Direk Paul to assist for the scene. And then kino-choreo naman po namin ‘yun. And then, hindi naman po ako nailang when it comes to girl to girl scene kasi ‘yun ibang project ko din before.
“Parang mas sanay ako sa girl to girl kaysa sa boy to girl. Hindi ko alam. Basta straight po ako.”
Tee admitted that she felt awkward doing intimate scenes with another woman.
“This is my second, but I’ve always been open–the first was Putahe, that was really the intense na girl to girl. But I’ve always been open na naiilang ako sa girl to girl. Opposite ni Ava na comfortable siya.”
She then highlighted how movie director Paul Basinillo and Mendez helped her with their steamy scene.
“I mean no love scene is actually easy eh. Kahit sa lalaki man ‘yan o babae, it’s just ‘yung girl to girl talaga is ano for me. Pero, ang maganda naman, nandiyan si Direk Paul to guide us and sa Ava naman also made it so light, kasi kalog si Ava. So parang alam ninyo– our scene was really kaabang-abang para sa inyong lahat.”
Janelle Tee and Ava Mendez star in the upcoming Vivamax movie, The Escort Wife, alongside seasoned actor Raymond Bagatsing.
Directed by Paul Basinillo, The Escort Wife premieres on Vivamax on September 16.
