On September 2, Viva stars Jamilla Obispo and Angeli Khang share their thoughts on the phrase ‘sex sells.’

At the media conference for the last three weeks of ‘Wag Mong Agawin Ang Akin with the press, including LionhearTV, Obispo talked about the demand for the sexy genre, citing how the audience evolved.

“For me, katulad nga ng sinabi ni Direk, kung paano mo–how you describe it, paano ko.

She also considered the sexy genre as an art form, reiterating that it’s the era of erotic content.

“I think sex is a form of art di ba? For me, dapat din lahat may freedom, ganyan.

She also pointed out that portraying intimate scenes is a part of her craft in acting.

“Yes, of course, in this way, kumbaga ito ‘yung point ng ano ko na nagagawa ko ‘yung craft ko, of course, acting, iyan ‘yung first love ko ever since. Kumbaga it’s a good thing for me yes.”

Khang agreed with Obispo, citing that the sexy genre helps pull focus to the story they want to tell as artists.

“First thing, it’s not a bad thing kasi, everyone does that, ‘yung mga sexy scenes, hindi lang napo-portray. I think napo-portray siya noon noon pa, I think it’s not really a good, good thing, kasi a movie could go on without a sexy scene, pero tama nga ‘yung sinabi ni Direk and ni Jamilla na in-demand na siya ngayon, and to be honest, kapag napapanood ng mga tao na something sexy na mas nagiging focus na sila. Mas nagiging– pinapanood nila, sinusubaybayan talaga nila.”

‘Wang Mong Agawin Ang Akin stars Jamilla Obispo, Angeli Khang, Felix Rocco, and Arron Villaflor.

Under the direction of McArthur Alejandre, ‘Wag Mong Agawin Ang Akin streams on the Vivamax app.
