Mikee Quintos and Kelvin Miranda were onscreen partners in the 2021 romance GTV fantasy series The Lost Recipe. Back then, due to their noticeable chemistry, the fans hoped their onscreen tandem could develop into something more.
In an interview on October 12, she talked about the possessive fans, “Yung mga MiKel fans, at first medyo na off, feeling nila niloko namin ni Kelvin sila.”
But, Quintos revealed that she and Miranda tried to be more than friends but the sparks weren’t just there.
“Kelvin and I, we kinda tried. May curiosity kami. Pero hindi siya nag bloom eh. Hindi siya naging more,” shared Mikee.
Despite the failed attempt to build a romantic relationship, she is glad that Miranda and Paul Salas (his current boyfriend) are both professionals for they never showed jealousy toward each other.
“Doon ako nabilib sa dalawang ‘to, kahit na may pakonti konting kilig kilig, hindi naapektuhan pag nasa set na,” said Quintos.
In one of his interviews before, Miranda shared that career is his priority, addressing the reason she never courted Quintos.
Salas and Quintos also met in The Lost Recipe, with Paul being the third wheel.
The real-life couple will appear on screen in the upcoming Mano Po Legacy: The Flower Sisters on October 31 on GMA Network.
