Photos and video clips of the Darna lead star’s visit to Bataan contradicted earlier claims that her appearance did not get a solid turnout and that she insisted to be the finale act of the event.
Jane de Leon alleged ‘prima donna’ issue in Limay, Bataan, was proven wrong by fans, who provided photos and video clips of the actress’s guest performance during the town’s fiesta last weekend.
News and blind items alluding to the incident notably made rounds online, with netizens guessing one of the secret identities to be the Darna star.
An earlier blind item noted an unnamed actress who performed at an event, alongside a handsome male celebrity. Netizens were quick to guess those two celebrities are Jane de Leon and Kapuso hunk, Ruru Madrid, who starred in the recently concluded series, Lolong.
The blind item claimed that the said actress insisted to the event’ organizers’ that she appear last among the performers. It was also noted that when the actress finally got to the stage, much of the live audience had already left. Such claims were later disproved by the organizers, themselves, who clarified that even before the event started, De Leon’s finale appearance was already arranged and that her team did not request for the actress to be the last.
On Twitter, netizens who attended the event also posted photos and clips, which debunked several claims that too few watched the actress’s performance. A clip by JRB Creative Productions also showed that De Leon attracted a huge turn out and engagement among her audience, was also high. Fans also provided proof that many of the people who watched the event asked for a selfie with the actress.
The site posted the original blind item and has also notably corrected its previous article. Darna and Lolong previously went head-to-head on primetime, until the latter’s final airing last week.
