The Kapamilya actor will take the holiday season as a well-deserved break, following his almost non-stop showbiz engagements in the past months, including the hit TV series, 2 Good 2 Be True.
Kapamilya actor and the so-called ‘Supreme Idol of this Generation’, Daniel Padilla, is committed to fulfilling left-and-right showbiz engagements and events before Christmas officially arrives in December. That said, the actor has seemingly laid out his plans for this holiday season, especially since he will be celebrating it with his family and real-life sweetheart, Kathryn Bernardo.
Padilla was recently named the first Filipino celebrity endorser for Mossimo, an American clothing line. The actor expressed his delight at seeing large crowds for the first time in years during the brand’s press launch last November 19. He did, however, mention taking a short break this Christmas following the success of 2 Good 2 Be True. For 26 weeks, the series was the most popular on Netflix Philippines. Last November 11, it aired its final episode on A2Z, TV5, and Kapamilya Channel.
Padilla said this year won’t make much of a difference, compared to his family’s previous celebrations. He explained, “Kami naman simple lang, we just invite our friends, family sa bahay. Normal lang eh. Ganon lang naman mga ganap namin tuwing pasko, basta kumpleto. At siyempre, kailangan ko rin pagbiyan ang sarili ko, so may times na andoon naman ako kina Kathryn, sa buong pamilya ni Kathryn, nagkikita kami.”
“Simple, simple lang. Ganon ang gusto ko. Importante lang sa akin na may Christmas tree kami,” he added.
During the Mossimo press conference, Padilla shared that he has upcoming movies and TV shows next year. However, he would like to take the holidays as a short break from showbiz.
