The straight play ‘Choosing,’ performed last Saturday (June 29), left audiences teary-eyed with its powerful and poignant narrative.

‘Choosing’ tells a significant story about love, emphasizing that it transcends gender and focuses on the genuine connection between individuals. Written by Liza Diño, with additional monologues by Ice Seguerra, the play draws from their personal experiences and a collection of LGBTQIA+ stories gathered over the years.

The play presents a compelling narrative that blurs the lines between reality and fiction. It’s not just about Ice and Liza, but also about the broader spectrum of untold stories within the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly among lesbians. It explores the struggles they face in society and the complexities of their experiences.

For those who missed this play ‘Choosing,’ there’s still an opportunity to catch it this weekend. The remaining performances at Power Mac Spotlight Black Box Theater, Circuit Makati are scheduled for:

  • July 6 (Saturday): 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
  • July 7 (Sunday): 2 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 8 p.m.

Ticket prices are set at Platinum P1,500, Gold P1,300, and Silver P1,000. Tickets are available through Ticket2Me or by texting Fire and Ice PH at 0917-5420303.

‘Choosing’ is an original play created by the influential LGBTQIA+ couple Ice Seguerra and Liza Diño, and directed by the esteemed Dr. Anton Juan. Don’t miss this chance to witness a groundbreaking and moving performance that continues to resonate deeply with its audience.
