From the remote corners of Palawan to the spotlight of the Palawan Convention 2025 (PalCon), Queen Pango has emerged as a powerful voice for authenticity, resilience, and representation.
A queer and Muslim content creator, Queen Pango is not just a rising digital star — he’s a living symbol of how identity, heritage, and hardship can be transformed into strength.

Born and raised in Palawan, Queen Pango — whose name was once used to mock his appearance — reclaimed the label and turned it into a badge of honor. “Si Queen Pango po ay katutubong Palaw’an na lumaki sa hirap at nangarap,” he shared. “‘Yun lagi ang tawag sa kanya — ‘pango, pango, pango’ — kaya siya naging Queen Pango.” What was once a taunt became a brand, a persona, and a movement.
His journey into content creation began humbly in 2022. “Nag-start ako dati na nakikinuod-nood lang ako,” he recalled. But when he noticed his account gaining traction and eventually monetization, he decided to go all in. His breakout moment came from a simple yet heartfelt video of him making paniyaram, a traditional Muslim rice cake. “Siguro nakita ng mga tao kung paano ko siya ginawa at siguro naging totoo ako sa buhay ko,” he said. That authenticity resonated — earning him over ₱40,000 in a single month from that viral post.

At PalCon 2025, Queen Pango stood among Palawan’s brightest creators and entrepreneurs, sharing his story and lessons learned. “Kailangan lang natin maging totoo sa ating sarili,” he told fellow creators. “Wag nating ikahiya kung sino at ano tayo, at kung saan tayo nanggaling.”
Having completed only Grade 5 through the Alternative Learning System (ALS), Queen Pango proves that dreams don’t require diplomas — just determination.
His family, once uncertain about his digital pursuits, now rallies behind him. “Kapag nauubusan na ako ng mai-co-content, sila na ‘yung gumagawa ng paraan para lang may maicontent ako,” he said. Even his indigenous community beams with pride. “Dala-dala ko ang aming tribu, kung saan man ako aabutin dito sa aking pagvo-vlog.”
Collaboration is key to his mission. He actively supports new creators, remembering how he once reached out to bigger names but received no reply. “Ramdam ko kung ano ang paghihirap ng nagsisimula,” he said. “Kaya kung sino ang pwedeng tulungan, tutulungan ko talaga.”
Known for his radiant personality and signature accessories, Queen Pango laughs off assumptions about luxury. “Mga palamuti lang ito, mga mhie,” he quipped. But behind the sparkle is a grounded mindset: “Sa tingin ko, uulanin man kami ulit, sigurado naman ako na meron na kaming masisilungan.”
For now, Queen Pango remains focused on family and livelihood. “Marami ang nagpaparamdam, pero ayaw ko pang pumatol,” he shared when asked about love life. “Siguro, pamilya muna at hanap-buhay.” He’s also eyeing future business ventures, aware that content creation isn’t forever.

Queen Pango’s story goes beyond viral videos — it’s a testament to self-love, cultural pride, and the power of being unapologetically real. From being teased as “pango” to becoming a queen of content, he’s rewriting the narrative for Palawan’s queer and Muslim youth, one upload at a time.
