iWant is turning up the heat with the global premiere of its original series AFAM Wives Club, debuting November 11 at 8 PM local time in each territory, including the United States and Canada. The first episode will stream free, with new episodes premiering weekly. The unapologetic new series dives into the dazzling and deeply human world of Filipinas navigating love, ambition, and identity on an international stage.
From acclaimed filmmaker JP Habac (Olsen’s Day, I’m Drunk, I Love You, Drag You & Me), showrunner Rodina Singh (Dreamboi, Drag Den), and hitmaker-producer Antoinette Jadaone (Sunshine, Fan Girl, That Thing Called Tadhana, On the Wings of Love), AFAM Wives Club is iWant’s boldest reality-drama hybrid to date — a high-emotion look at modern relationships where the local meets the global and the personal becomes performance.
The series features four unforgettable Filipinas: Nathalie Hart, Keylyn Trajano, Julia Chu, and Mari Fowler — each navigating love and self-discovery across cultures. Trajano, the first openly trans woman to compete in Miss Universe Philippines, brings fearless representation to the conversation around gender and desire.
Told in a lively mix of English, Tagalog, and Taglish, AFAM Wives Club mirrors the rhythm of modern Filipino life — fluent, funny, and unfiltered. “AFAM,” short for “A Foreigner Assigned in Manila,” has long been Filipino slang for Western partners — but here it’s redefined through sisterhood, spectacle, and cultural collision.
“AFAM Wives Club represents the kind of fearless, globally relevant storytelling we want iWant to stand for,” said Jolly Estaris, Head of iWant. “It’s provocative, funny, and emotionally real — a perfect reflection of conversations happening across our community today.”
“AFAM Wives Club is outrageous, emotional, and deeply human — it’s about women taking ownership of their stories,” adds director JP Habac. “We wanted something that felt like a party and a confession at the same time.”
To celebrate the launch, iWant is offering a $9.99 monthly subscription (regularly $12.99), giving audiences across North America access to a growing library of hit Filipino series, films, and exclusives.
