Rising Filipino alt-pop artist Lorenzo Jan has officially signed a record deal with KDR Music House, opening a new chapter in his steadily growing music career.

Hailing from Santa Rosa, Lorenzo Jan is slowly carving out his own space in the local music scene through a sound that combines raw band influences with polished pop production. Known for being laid-back yet meticulous when it comes to his craft, the singer-songwriter carefully fine-tunes his songs—from arrangements to mixes—to ensure they fully reflect his artistic vision.
His music leans heavily into the alt-pop genre, blending catchy melodies with a modern edge inspired by artists and bands such as Dallon Weekes, The Strokes, The 1975, and Gorillaz.
Lorenzo Jan’s journey in music began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he started producing beats and uploading covers online. What initially served as a creative outlet eventually evolved into a more serious pursuit after he began gaining traction on social media and performing live.

One of the biggest turning points in his career came when he became a Top 10 finalist in Billboard Philippines’ Jameson Distilled Sounds PH competition, proving that his music could resonate beyond his home studio recordings.
He also earned recognition after winning a songwriting competition and going viral on TikTok because of a live performance clip, experiences that further boosted his confidence as an artist.
Now under KDR Music House, Lorenzo Jan expressed gratitude for the opportunity and shared that he values the label’s open-minded approach to music and creativity.
With the backing of the label, the singer-songwriter is set to release more music, including his upcoming single, Wag Nalang.

The track tackles the emotional realization of walking away from a relationship with someone emotionally unavailable. While introspective in theme, the song maintains a relaxed alt-pop vibe that reflects a sense of relief and empowerment rather than heartbreak.
Through the song, Lorenzo Jan hopes listeners will embrace the idea that letting go and choosing peace can also be an act of self-respect.
Looking ahead, the young artist hopes to continue growing as a homegrown act under KDR Music House while building a deeper connection with listeners through his music and message.
At the center of his artistry is a simple reminder he hopes people can relate to: “okay lang yan.”
