Maine Mendoza’s Twitter account has been hacked. The incident happened early morning of November 3. No one expected this would happen to Maine Mendoza being a part of Eat Bulaga that actually entertain people worldwide, especially help those in need. Remember their Library project which raised 14 million pesos?
Anyway, Maine Mendoza’s followers were shocked when unusual tweets had been posted on her Twitter account. The posts are unrelated to what she normally publishes on Twitter. Some of her followers even retweeted those malicious tweets. This only proves that some of her followers don’t read what she tweets. As long as the tweets are written by Maine Mendoza, they will retweet, even favorite them.
That’s the danger with what happened to Maine Mendoza’s Twitter account. If people will retweet, or even favorite whatever she tweets, the malicious messages of the hackers will quickly spread just like that.
Fortunately, the majority of Maine Mendoza’s Twitter followers are well informed to distinguish whether a tweet is official or not. Since the AlDub nation don’t sleep, the hacking issue immediately escalated and informed millions of fans who follow Maine Mendoza’s every move.

The group apologized, but most AlDub fans say the apology is insincere and fishy. Although a few still show their respect for Anonymous.
Anyway, the one thing that stands out is that fans think that the group should not get any support from AlDub nation anymore after they have invaded the privacy of Maine Mendoza.
A few hours later, Anonymous asked Maine Mendoza’s forgiveness for invading her Twitter account.
They also said that her account has already been restored.
But according to Carlo Ople hackers does not “returned””Maine Mendoza’s Twitter account yet. We don’t know what will be the next move from or TAPE Production management, as well as the Anonymous in the near future.
UPDATE:
In a new statement issued by Anonymous Philippines on their Facebook account, they clarified that nobody paid them to hack the account of Maine Mendoza. The hackers’ group said they only wanted to promote their Million Mask March on November 5 that is why they hacked her account. There are persistent speculations that Alden Richards account was also hacked but this has not been confirmed yet
2nd UPDATE:
At 3:33 PM Maine Mendoza was able to retrieve her Twitter and Instagram accounts through the help fo Smart/TNT and TAPE (According to Fashion Pulis post.)
She said, “Instagram’s fine. Twitter’s back, Facebook deactivated(by hackers), email still inaccessible.”
Then at 4:10, it seems her IG account was hacked again. Her latest post was at 9:19 pm wherein she thanked the fans and told they are still working on securing the accounts. She promised to keep her fans posted.
