Comedian and Duterte supporter Archie Alemania issued a public apology after getting flak over his selfie with Presidential aspirant Mar Roxas, in which he tells a joke. “May nagpa picture sakin sobrang die hard supporter ni DUTERTE!!!” the 38-year-old actor began in his lengthy statement. “Good choice bro! Nakalimutan ko itanong name niya nung magkausap kami. Kita kits na lang sa rally ni DIGONG!!!” with hashtags #duterte2016 #duterteforpresident #nangungulitlang.
Archie stirred a Social Media storm prompting him to put his Twitter account into private after receiving negative remarks on his statement.
Then in the evening, Archie’s previous comments were deleted and he issued a three-tweet apology:
Archie, who first became a celebrity in 2003 via TV sitcom “Ang Tanging Ina” has history of making a scene at a Quezon City fastfood joint in 2014 when he barged in wearing only his pants and covered in mud. He allegedly forced his way into the kitchen, claiming that someone was trying to kill him but couldn’t name him. According to the police report, Archie indeed caused a commotion but that both parties (Archie and the manager of the eatery) already settled the matter.
