GMA Sparkle artist Anjay Anson recalled receiving mean comments on social media.
At the media conference on June 24 for Sparkada artists, Anson highlighted one of the meanest comments he received, saying he was ‘all-looks.’
“May mga nababasa nga po ako nna parang sinasabi po nila na all looks lang daw po ganyan. So parang nabasa ko nga po ‘yung comments na ganun kasi medyo mada rin po siya eh.”
He admitted that he felt hurt over the comment. However, he decided to use it as a motivation.
“Parang nung nabasa ko po parang, syempre nasaktan din po ako. Pero in a way, mas naging motivation ko po siya na, ‘Ah, magwo-workshop muna ako, ah aaralin ko kung paano gagawin ‘to.’ ‘Yung kung paano ako mag-explore sa workshop.”
Anson also confessed that he misses his fellow Sparkada artists.
“I am an energetic person din po and I really like bonding with the Sparkadas po talaga. Nami-miss ko na nga po sila, ang tagal na po pala. Ang tagal nanamin hindi nakakapagkita, ang tagal na naming hindi nakakapag kwentuhan. So, ‘yun I’m also a curious person po and I love exploring po.”
Anson also recalled the projects he has been in, including Widows’ Web and a hosting stint with the Kapuso morning show, Unang Hirit.
“I’ve been in Widows’ Web po kasama ko din po doon si Vanessa, Peña, isang Sparkada din. And ayun po na-enjoy ko naman po siya.
“And now, I’ve been guesting in Unang Hirit, and minsan nakakasama ko rin po doon si Roxie [Smith]. Nagugustuhan ko po ‘yung sa Unang Hirit kasi katulad nga po ng sabi ni Roxie, sobrang unexpected ng mga binibigay sa amin na mga segments and para sa akin ‘yung thrill na ‘yun na hindi mo malalaman ‘yung gagawin mo until the day itself, mas nae-engganyo po akong mag-work.”
He then listed the projects he wanted to do while revealing the Kapuso actor he idolizes.
“And sa work naman po, I think I want to be a lead role po in a romantic movie po.
“Si Alden po. Si Alden [Richards] po talaga.”
In April 2022, the star builder Johnny M Manahan picked sixteen young Kapuso artists to be a part of GMA Sparkle’s Sparkada.
These artists include Roxie Smith, Anjay Anson, Vanessa Peña, Jeff Moses, Cheska Fausto, Michael Sager, Kirsten Gonzales, Kim Perez, Caitlyn Stave, Vince Maristela, Dilek Montemayor, Raheel Bhyria, Tanya Ramos, Larkin Castor, Lauren King, and Sean Lucas.
