The Juans brings Filipino stories of healing to life in ‘Ngiti’ as they head to Europe

Filipino pop band The Juans turns to storytelling once again with “Ngiti,” a song film arriving April 25, as they prepare to take their music from Manila to Europe in 2026.

The project sees the group continuing their focus on story-driven music that draws from emotions and experiences that feel instantly familiar to a new generation of listeners.

With ‘Ngiti,’ The Juans continues to solidify its reputation for innovative storytelling, once again
presenting a major release as a full song film rather than a conventional single. This now-signature cinematic and immersive format has become a hallmark of their recent works, powerfully conveying their narrative-driven brand. Starring Bianca De Vera and Dustin Uy, the film delves into quiet, deeply personal moments—lingering on the often-unspoken experiences people move through.

Written by lead guitarist Japs Mendoza, the song draws from lived, relatable experiences that have become a defining part of The Juans’ sound.

“We’ve always believed that our music carries real stories. With Ngiti, we wanted to create something that people going through a tough time can sit with, and maybe find comfort in, even in the smallest smile,” said lead vocalist Carl Guevarra.

From this release, The Juans takes the same storytelling beyond Manila to international audiences on their 2026 European tour, bringing these stories onto a global stage while performing for Filipino communities abroad.

Tour stops include:
May 31 – Milan, Italy
June 6 – Paris, France
June 7 – Madrid, Spain
June 12 – Frankfurt, Germany

The tour reflects the band’s growing reach beyond the Philippines, as OPM continues to connect with audiences across borders.

“As we bring this music to different parts of the world, we’re reminded that Filipino stories don’t stop at our borders. They resonate wherever there are people who feel, who hope, and who heal,” the band shared.

With Ngiti and their upcoming tour, The Juans continues to define their place through emotionally grounded, narrative-driven music, bridging personal stories with a broader cultural experience.

From Manila to Europe, the band’s latest chapter signals a clear direction: telling Filipino stories that are not only heard, but deeply felt—wherever they go.
