Kim Atienza meets celebrity toy collectors this Sunday (June 24) as he explores the world of toys in the multi-awarded educational program “Matanglawin.”
The country’s Trivia King goes inside the homes of world champion Jed Madela and radio DJ Nicole Hyala to personally see how fascinated they are with their favorite cartoon characters. Jed shows off his growing Superman and Disney characters figurine collection that he purchased abroad and ordered online, while Nicole shows Kuya Kim how it’s like to live inside a house with everything Hello Kitty, from utensils, to bags, pillows, and many more.
“Goin Bulilit” Carl Camo, on the other hand, doesn’t have a particular character he is fond of but his fascination with toys spurred him to have as many as 5,000 toys in his room, three of which are even life-sized.
Meanwhile, Kuya Kim also tries to play with remote-controlled cars and helicopters and check out vintage toys in the WOW Toy Museum.
“Matanglawin” is part of ABS-CBN “Bida Best Kid” campaign launched recently that aims to empower children by encouraging them to become who they want to be and the best that they can be. It doesn’t only entertain and educate its young viewers with its values-oriented, child-friendly programs, but supports their dreams and aspirations as well.
