14. Ogie Alcasid
After eighteen years of being a Kapuso, Ogie Alcasid had found his new home in Kapatid network. GMA-7 thanked the singer-songwriter for being part of the network’s success.
Alcasid, however, said that his decision to move to TV5 didn’t mean he was not happy with the Kapuso network.
GMA-7 also acknowledged the singer’s achievements that make him the icon that he is now. The network also stated that they are proud to have been with Alcasid throughout his journey.
Good job for not burning a bridge with GMA-7, Ogie!
13. Iza Calzado
Iza Calzado was ready to renew her contract with GMA when suddenly dancer-choreographer came up to her and said, “Your dad wanted you to transfer [to ABS-CBN.]”
According to the Kapamilya star, she could not stop thinking about transferring from GMA, even when she already went to Dubai in December for vacation.
Nonetheless, Calzado transfer to the Kapamilya network was a breath of fresh air. She said, “I wanted to experience new things and, hopefully, evolve into a better artist. I can only do that if I step out of my comfort zone [in GMA], work with new people and be challenged.”
