ABS-CBN wins July 2019 nationwide TV ratings; GMA Network leads Urban Luzon and Mega Manila

ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. has again topped the nationwide TV ratings for the month of July 2019.

Based on the numbers released by Kantar Media, the Kapamilya network registered a 45% audience share, 13% higher compared to GMA network’s 32%.

Aside from winning the nationwide numbers, ABS-CBN also swept all geographical areas.

In Metro Manila, the Kapamilya network edged out Kapuso by another significant margin of 15% at 41% versus 26%. Viewer rich Mega Manila meanwhile still gave ABS-CBN the win with 4% margin at 36% against GMA’s 32%.

Total Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao as usual were all captured again by ABS-CBN. Luzon recorded a ratings of 40% versus GMA’s 34%. Visayas on the other hand gave wider gap at 53% versus 25%. And Mindanao which is a traditional Kapamilya area registered 52% versus 29%.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN also won in all timeslots with primetime and afternoon blocks giving significant margins.

For primetime, ABS-CBN scored a rating of 47%, 16% higher than GMA’s 31%. The afternoon and pre-primetime slot were also won by ABS-CBN 47% to 33%.

Morning and noontime programming were also captured by ABS-CBN as it leads against rival Kapuso. Morning block registered 39% for Kapamilya while GMA got 30%. And for noontime ABS-CBN again beats GMA 44% versus 34%.

ABS-CBN was led again by its top 2 most-watched teleserye’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (37.6%) and The General’s Daughter (31.3%).

If ABS-CBN dominated July 2019 nationwide ratings, GMA again claimed lead in AGB’s Urban Luzon and Mega Manila ratings.

According to the latest report by AGB Nielsen, GMA continues to get a hold of Urban Luzon and Mega Manila viewers.

Kapuso network registered a rating of 34% for Urban Luzon, 2.1% higher than ABS-CBN’s 31.4%.

For Mega Manila, GMA network again topped the ratings board 35.4% versus 28.9% of ABS-CBN.

GMA Network also claimed dominance in the afternoon and primetime blocks for Urban Luzon. GMA network scored 36.3% versus ABS-CBN’s 33.3% in the afternoon block and 35% versus 31.7% in primetime.

GMA network has started using Urban Luzon and Mega Manila numbers as they leadership gauge starting April 2019. Prior to that GMA used to released NUTAM ratings numbers.
