For the 70th Anniversary of GMA, the network is set to launch five new prime-time programs for the upcoming year of 2020.

Here are the five much-awaited TV series by GMA on 2020:

Descendants of the Sun

A Philippine adaptation of the popular Koreanovela, Dingdong Dantes and Jennylyn Mercado will be the leading stars of the show while Jasmine Curtis and Rocco Nacino will also be part of it as the secondary leads. This remake will be directed by Dominic Zapata.

Anak Ni Waray VS Anak Ni Biday

An original movie of Maricel Soriano and Snooky Serna way back in 1984, but this time Snooky plays the role of Ginalyn’s mom (Barbie Forteza) while Kate Valdez will be the daughter of Dina Bonnevie as ‘Caitlyn’. Based on the teaser, Anak Ni Waray VS Anak Ni Biday will give its viewers a good laugh every night starting in 2020, as seen on the video that Barbie and Kate are vlogger friends which is opposed by their rival moms.

Love of my Life

The third on the list of GMA’s upcoming TV series stars real-life couple Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez along with Coney Reyes, Rhian Ramos, and Mikael Daez. It will be a drama series about a complicated family wherein Tom’s wife is Carla but his son’s mother is Rhian.

First Yaya

This is the comeback TV series of Primetime Queen Marian Rivera who will play the role of a nanny to the President’s (Gabby Concepcion) children. Marian and Gabby fans can finally enjoy watching their favorite stars on GMA Telebabad as the network confirmed its timeslot.

Agimat ng Agila



Controversial Senator Bong Revilla’s new show is set to replace the fantasy anthology Daig Kayo ng Lola Ko every Sunday on the primetime block. Bong says in the teaser, “Ako at ang aking kaibigan, kami ang magsisilbing tagapagtanggol ng Inang Kalikasan.”
