PLDT Global partners with AMA Computer Learning Center for OFWs in Hong Kong

[October 7, 2020] As part of PLDT’s commitment to uplift the lives of Filipinos overseas, those who are interested to continue learning now have the chance to enjoy exclusive discounts on school fees in AMA Hong Kong.

This is made possible through the partnership of PLDT Global Corporation (PGC), the international arm of the Philippines’ largest and only integrated telco PLDT, and AMA Computer Learning Center (AMACLC).

Interested students can access information about AMACLC’s blended online learning programs through the Free Bee app. These courses include computer programming, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Language), among others.

Aside from that, OFWs can also experience high-quality IDD calls to Smart, TNT, and PLDT customers in the Philippines for free via Free Bee — an internationally recognized ad-sponsored VoIP solution available in over 180 countries. Free Bee is offered by PGC as a means for overseas Filipinos to keep in touch with their loved back home.

“We are excited to partner with AMACLC to help our kababayans, particularly those in Hong Kong, find more opportunities to develop their skills and at the same time strengthen their connections with their loved ones back home or anywhere else in the world. This is important especially during a time when we’re forced to stay physically and socially distant from each other,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, Chief Commercial Officer at PLDT Global.

“AMA Computer Learning Center HK is building a bridge between overseas Filipinos and their dreams. The degree that they earn from our institution can bring them to Canada, Europe, the United States, and New Zealand. They can also return to the Philippines with a sense of fulfillment after pursuing higher education as they build a better future for themselves and their families,” said Helen Gutierrez Marcos, ACLCHK School Director. For more information, visit www.freebeecalls.com.
