Recently, rumors surfaced that Mayor Sara plans to run for President in the upcoming 2022 elections, following her father, President Rodrigo Duterte.
However, Pres. Duterte expressed his disapproval saying his misogynistic statement that women should not hold the Presidency, despite him serving under Former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
In 2011, Mayor Sara went viral via a video, showing her punching a sheriff for proceeding with the demolition plans despite her plea to defer it to prevent bloodshed between the police and residents. Many professionals criticized Mayor Sara for her actions since she’s a lawyer herself.
As a result, actor Alex Medina and Kapamilya star Barbie Imperial reacted to the possible bid of Mayor Duterte in the Presidential elections in 2022.
Alex retweeted a photo post on his Twitter comparing Vice President Leni Robredo and Mayor Sara. Alex then tweeted his thoughts that he prefers someone with results backing their presidential bid rather than drama.

Then, Barbie retweeted a video, reminding the Filipinos of what Sara’s Presidency would be like, citing a video of the Mayor’s actions in 2011. Barbie then tweeted how scary it would be if Sara won the Presidency.
