Joem Bascon’s former partner and vlogger Crisha Uy finally broke her silence regarding her ex and Meryll Soriano, to whom Bascon has a child now and gave birth a few days before Christmastime.
For over a year now, the thought that Joem fell out-of-love with the vlogger.
However, based on Crisha’s recent vlog, she confirmed that she was being lied to by the award-winning actor.
“Finally, finally na-confirm ko na nagsinungaling talaga siya noon. That I was lied to,” she said.
According to Uy, she gave both (Bascon and Soriano) the ‘benefit of the doubt’ since she considered them both as professionals who were [simply] working at the time.
Bascon and Soriano’s reunion occurred via their TV series and film projects. The spark between the two [is suspected] ignited while they were doing Starla (ABS-CBN) and Culion (in Palawan) back in 2019.
“I gave them the benefit of the doubt ‘eh before,” said the vlogger.
In the recent news, Joem and Meryll’s announcement of their giving birth brought back the painful memories of a lie Crisha had to endure before the truth was finally revealed.
“Pero ‘yun na nga, sampal sa mukha nung nakita ko ‘yun. Sampal sa mukha na tama pala ‘yung hinala ko noon.”
Joem and Crisha met at a party in 2010 possibly after the former ended his relationship with Soriano. Through a common friend, Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash Edition ex-housemate April Sun, Joem was able to connect with Uy. That is when they became a pair for eight years.
However, not everything ends up with a happy ending.
In December 2019, the actor revealed that they broke up.
“Hanggang doon na lang siya. Kapag pinilit pa, on my side siguro mas magiging magulo. So I guess hanggang doon ko lang talaga kaya,” said Joem during an interview for his film Write About Love back then.
Though, he stressed that there was no third party involved.
Meanwhile, Joem and Meryll first worked together in ABS-CBN’s adaptation of I Love Betty la Fea. That was when they established romance for a year and broke up in 2010.
Still, with them going their separate ways, in January 2020, there were rumors, according to pep.ph that Joem and Meryll got back together after the former announced in December 2019 that he’s again single.
Nevertheless, the two were mum about the real score of their relationship. Just at the start of this year, January 1, was the time that they confirmed their relationship—with a baby.
This was revealed on Meryll’s Instagram post where she posted a photograph together with Joem while she holds a baby—their child with a caption: “2021! May this year be kinder to us all. May we all find peace, joy, and love. New year, new hopes, new positive outcomes. Happy New Year from our family to yours!”
