Sharon Cuneta admits that there are projects that she regretted doing

“You know you should always have to listen to your intuition, dun ako natuto eh. When it feels off, don’t do it. That’s your instincts talking to you,” she said.

In the virtual presscon for her newest movie, “Revirginized”, Sharon Cuneta admitted that there is a movie that she regretted doing in the end.

She was joined by the director Darryl Yap and co-star Rosanna Roces on February 28 in the said presscon.

Megastar shared that though all of her projects under Viva Films are good, there is still a movie that she wished she did not accept in the first place. Accordingly, she should’ve trusted her intuition because, in the end, she realized that it was right.

“Meron sigurong dumaan na movie na ayoko talagang gawin tapos ‘yung ending, talaga palang hindi hindi ko dapat ginawa,” she said as she bursts into laughter.

There was this film when she played the role of Lilian Velez, a Filipina actress that was murdered by his fellow actor Narding Anzures. However, when the character was introduced to her, she misheard the name and thought it was Vivian Velez (the daughter of Lilian).

“Kasi una, baka nagkamali ako ng pandinig akala ko Vivian Velez, hindi pala, Lilian pala. Eh gusto ng tatay ko kasi kilala nila dahil 40s pa,” she narrated while trying to contain her laughter.

Sharon was referring to the movie “The Lilian Velez Story: Till Death Do Us Part” which she starred in in 1995.

But that experience taught her a lesson, to believe in her intuition.

“You know you should always have to listen to your intuition, dun ako natuto eh. When it feels off, don’t do it. That’s your instincts talking to you,” she said.

She regrets doing it because the story may not be inappropriate to the preference of her fans.

“Hindi dahil sa pangit ang pelikula kun’di yung storya hindi para saamin ng audience ko,” she said.

After 18 years, Sharon will work again under her home studio, Viva Films.

She will top bill a movie directed by controversial director Darryl, who recently faced criticisms for his problematic ‘Tililing’ poster.

In this movie, Sharon will play a lady who will unveil her ‘wild’ side during her middle life after years of seclusion.

Her role will be daring and sexy, which is timely as she recently shared her weight-loss journey.

On March 1, their shooting began at a beach resort in Subic, Zambales.
