On October 1, ABS-CBN’s News team reacted to Kim Atienza’s transfer to GMA Network.
During his last weather report in TV Patrol, Atienza said his final ‘weather-weather lang’ tagline after 17 years in ABS-CBN.
His colleagues in ABS-CBN’s News Department reacted to the weather anchor’s transfer through social media.

Kapamilya reporter and former TV Patrol anchor Karen Davila expressed her support to weather anchor, noting that she remains Atienza’s friend.

TV Patrol Anchor Bernadette Sembrano sent her well wishes to Atienza via Instagram. She also proudly emphasized how the Kapamilya network staff consider each other as family.

Atienza recently confirmed his transfer to GMA Network, wherein he would work on five upcoming TV shows. He worked in the ABS-CBN News team for 17 years, and he became one of the iconic weather anchors of ‘TV Patrol.’
Atienza also became known for his on-the-spot trivia during his appearances on programs. He also hosted ‘It’s Showtime’ and ‘Matanglawin.’
