TV series ‘Niña Niño’ and videoke singing reality game show ‘Sing Galing’ are the top-rated programs of TV5.
‘Niña Niño’ and ‘Sing Galing’ used to air on weekdays, however, due to the 2021 PBA Season, the Wednesday and Friday episodes of the shows were pre-empted.
‘Niña Niño’ and ‘Sing Galing’ currently air every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday only, and during these days, these shows are a consistent part of the Top 20 most-watched programs list released by AGB Nielsen.
On November 30 (Tuesday), ‘Sing Galing’ tied with GTV’s ‘Dapat Alam Mo’ with a 3.1% rating, ranking 17th-18th, while ‘Niña Niño’ ranked 14th with 4.1%.
On December 2 (Thursday), ‘Sing Galing’ climbed up to the 15th spot with a 3.4% rating. ‘Niña Niño’ also increased to a 4.3% rating, tied with ‘Mr. Queen’ in the 13th-14th spot.
The performance of these shows again improved on December 6 (Monday), ‘Sing Galing’ is consistent in the 15th spot but, its rating increased to 3.8%. The same goes for ‘Niña Niño’, which increased its rating to 4.5%.
‘Sing Galing’ and ‘Niña Niño’ are back-to-back in the TV5 programming schedule. ‘Sing Galing’ is scheduled at 6:30 pm, while the latter is at 7:15 pm.
These shows are pre-programming of ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ on TV5, which airs at 8:00 pm.
‘Niña Niño’ is starred by Maja Salvador and Noel Comia Jr.
‘Sing Galing’ is hosted by the ‘SingMasters’, Randy Santiago, K Brosas, and Donita Nose, while Rey Valera, Jessa Zaragoza, and Ronnie Liang serve as the ‘Jukebosses’ or judges.
Despite the limited reach of TV5 compared to the free TV giant GMA Network, at least its shows can still penetrate the ranking chart of the most-watched programs nationwide.
