Rumors about Thompson getting booted out of the show came after his detention because of beating his former girlfriend, Ana Jalandoni.

Kapamilya actor JC De Vera got officially introduced as Kit Thompson’s replacement for the role the PBB alumnus vacated in the upcoming TV series–Flower of Evil.

De Vera’s taking over Thompson’s role has been circulating for weeks before Dreamscape Entertainment’s official confirmation this week and the show’s first teaser release.

Thompson, was involved in a beating scandal in March this year.

A complaint filed by the police against the actor after his then-girlfriend, Ana Jalandoni got confined at a hospital. It was due to the massive bruises she received from the actor. The actor has been virtually silent about his showbiz engagements after his arrest.

Dreamscape Entertainment introduced Thompson as one of the upcoming Filipino adaptations of the Korean hit drama, Flower of Evil last year. He got slated to play one of the lead male supports.

On May 18, the day of the show’s first teaser release, a press statement confirmed that the former Pinoy Big Brother teen housemate got replaced by the La Vida Lena actor, JC de Vera.

De Vera joines fellow Kapamilya actors, Piolo Pascual and Lovi Poe, as lead stars of the TV adaptation. Joining them are established and up-and-coming stars, Agot Isidro, Denise Laurel, Eppy Quizon, Rita Avila, Joem Bascon, Jett Pangan, Joko Diaz, Edu Manzano, and Pinky Amador. Theater actor, Robert Seña was also previously announced but appeared to have been also replaced by another actor.

Flower of Evil is notably Lovi Poe’s first lead teleserye after moving to ABS-CBN last year. It also marks her first pairing with Kapamilya hunk and Ultimate Leading Man, Piolo Pascual, who re-affirmed his being a homegrown Kapamilya, via a historic contract signing last year.

He is currently being seen on the weekend sitcom, My Papa Pi, which also stars Pia Wurtzbach and Pepe Herrera.
