As an Avatar, a human mind in an alien body, he finds himself torn between two worlds, in a desperate fight for his own survival and that of the Na’vi. He meets and falls in love with the Na’vi Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) and opens his eyes to the destruction the humans are wreaking on Pandora, and sides with the Na’vi to protect their world from human hands.
The film successfully transports its audience–then and now–from the darkened theaters to Pandora itself through the use of groundbreaking and innovative motion capture techniques and visual effects that brought the blue world and Na’vi to life in 3D.
